Phillip Bedford Estate
This is the first Auction for the Bedford Estate. Everything in this building is shoulder to shoulder and we need to make some room. This first auction is primarily the tools and locksmith equipment and supplies from the downstairs and shop. The second auction will be all the clock maker items, household, and probably more tools. We haven't done anything with the upstairs. This is a large volume of merchandise.
Unless specified otherwise, the shelving pictured in the lots is NOT included. Some shelving is being kept by the family, and the rest will be sold at a later date once it is empty. IF YOU PURCHASE CONTENTS OF THE SHELVES, BRING BOXES OR TOTES TO PACK IT IN.
Locksmith & Hardware: The bulk of the locksmith tools and hardware is listed in lots 550 and higher. There is no way we could take the time to open every box and examine the contents to make sure it matched the box. We know some things did not. We did our best to accurately represent the lots, but we will not listen to any whining about a box not having what it said or a used item. We strongly urge anyone interested in these items to take advantage of the extended preview time to come inspect these items first hand. Some of these lots have tremendous value, especially the commercial stuff, but know what you are buying.
We tried to plug in all the electrical tools to make sure they worked. All the battery tools that we had a charged battery for worked, but some had no good batteries. Air tools are sold as-is. Some look barely used.
Because of the massive volume and the difficulty getting to some of the items, we will be utilizing our appointment system for the pick-up. We're not so worried about a few small tools, but some of the shelf contents, safes, and large items will be a challenge because things are so condensed. We will have equipment and labor on hand during the pick-up, but it would be a good idea to bring some help if you can (especially it you purchase shelf contents).
